The FBI School of Pastry under guidance of Chef Patisserie, Nicolas D. van der Walt, has just launched an exciting Part Time Certificate in Food Preparation and Culinary Arts with Patisserie Techniques that can be completed in the evenings and under his professional guidance.
The Certificate in Food Preparation and Culinary Arts with Patisserie Techniques, an FBI Pastry Initiative, is now open for enrolments at the FBI School of Pastry.
A one year, evening class program consisting of 6 skills programs, together with introductory theory lessons, research and assignments, is now within reach of the food enthusiast and pastry

Syllabus consists of the Following Modules

  1. A la Carte Desserts
  2. Wedding Cakes
  3. High Tea (Dainties, Savoury and Sweets)
  4. Breads and Pastries
  5. Sweets and Confectionaries
  6. Specialty Cakes
  7. Theory Classes

This includes:

  • City & Guilds Certificate Credential (8065-01)
  • City & Guilds Certificate in Food Safety
  • FBI Certificate Of Attendance
  • Chef’s jacket
  • Apron
  • All recipes
  • All Ingredients
  • Theory & Practical Examination (November / June)
